Annual Report 2025: A Year of Implementation
The strategic decisions made in the previous year became noticeable in 2025: in the scaffolding on Allensteiner Straße, in the construction progress at the Bürk site, and in the funding applications for the Sturmbühl project. The 2025 annual report provides a comprehensive overview of wbg's figures, projects, and decisions.
The focus is on:
- New start at Sturmbühl – New building in modular construction with over 106 apartments
- Climate Roadmap – Long-term planning of energy-related measures for existing buildings until 2045
- Renovation of Allensteiner Straße – Energy-efficient modernization while occupied
- Student housing in the Bürk area – new residential quarter for international students
- Social Commitment – Support for sports, security and social initiatives in the region
New start at Sturmbühl and other projects
A key chapter of the 2025 annual report is the restart at Sturmbühl. Following the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, and high inflation, the original construction project had to be rethought. Together with our partner Goldbeck, a new building is now being constructed according to the EH40 standard with planned QNG certification – the earliest possible start of construction is scheduled for summer 2026.
Modernization work is also progressing according to plan in the Bürk area and on Allensteiner Straße. The first students are expected to move into the Bürk area for the winter semester of 2026.
Long-term planning of energy-related measures until 2045
The long-term energy-efficient upgrade of existing buildings remains a key strategic area of action. With our climate roadmap, we plan measures for each of the next five years, focusing on a gradual improvement of energy efficiency and building technology – from roof renovations with photovoltaics to the modernization of heating systems.
Social Commitment
The 2025 annual report also shows that responsibility doesn't end with housing. Whether it's youth sports, civil security, or support for families in critical phases of life – wbg is socially committed in Villingen-Schwenningen and thus sets an example for community.
